Cross-coupling catalyst?
Cross-Coupling Catalysts for Synthesis of Aromatic Compounds
Efficient cross-coupling catalysts consisting of iron, and a new ligand, have been developed for Kumada, Negishi, and Suzuki coupling reactions. A variety of alkyl halides and arylmetal reagents be cross-coupled in excellent yield. Rare metals, e.g., Pd and Ni, have been prevalent catalysts in the cross-coupling technology, and now, more cost-effective, less toxic, and easy-to-use transition metal catalyst is highly desired. The catalysis is able to use for syntheses of drug intermediates, organic electronic materials, liquid crystals etc. |
