K2Energy is our product for the energy management of buildings with a single, centralized production plant. The product is composed by a set of electronic boards based on an embedded computer, which are placed at the apartments composing an intelligent distributed system. These boards supervise the working of the system, collecting all the data related to water flow, temperature, consumption… and make the control valves and climatization. Moreover, they incorporate a sophisticated alarms system (that works as an expert) which inform immediately when something is wrong. All the data is finally gathered into a remote server, where the information is processed and offered to the customer by understandable reports of alarms and performance. The product, hardware and software, becomes an integrated full system of management which not only register single consumption (like well-known meters). As main advantages: 1) It allows the remote control (parameters and way it works can be remotely changed) 2) all the data which can be useful is stored providing basic information as the time of thermostat or others 3) very important, integrates apartments and production plant (boiler and solar) into a single system. Therefore, the information of both origins is used together to improve the performance and reduce the energy consumption.
