Diagnosis and Treatment of Crohn's disease by Ergothioneine

Ergothioneine Concentration in Blood of Healthy Volunteers showed high concentaration of 38.8 μg/mL , Patients with Crohn's Disease and those with Ulcerative Colitis showed 8.0 μg/mL and 33.8 μg/mL, respectively. Frequency of Diplotype #1 and Other Diplotypes in Crohn's Disease, Healthy Volunteers and Ulcerative Colitis was significantly different. The octn1-/- Mice Showed a Much Lower Tolerance to Intestinal Oxidative Stress Arising from Ischemic Reperfusion Injury.
