Polymer gel capable of absorbing organic solvents
Polymer gel useful in waste oil disposal and as shield blocking spilled organic solvents
The invention is a polymer gel that comprises any one of quaternary ammonium, quaternary phosphonium, quaternary pyridiniumand quaternary imidazolinium, each of which has low-coordinated or high-hydrophobic anion as counter anion. The long-chain alkyl of quaternary ammonium, quaternary phosphonium, quaternary pyridiniumor quaternary imidazoliniumis extended so that the swelling in organic solvent increases.
Applicable to develop materials that efficiently absorb various VOCs (volatile organic compounds) currently in question.
