Metal nanoparticles, in combination with other medical devices, are promising for the next generation of cancer therapy. To achieve this, their as-prepared surfaces must be modified to endow them with water dispersibility, biocompatibility and possibly even targeting ability. Our bio-inspired polymers accomplish the three functions all at once.
