Highly Sensitive Gandolinium MRI Contrast Reagent
Novel Method Generates a Much More Sensitive Contrast Agent for MRI Tumor Analysis

 Researchers have developed an approach to concentrate and encapsulate significantly higher levels of MRI-detectable gandolinium complex into apoferritin than current conventional methods.  The resulting MRI contract reagents have 3-10 times higher relaxivity than that of commercially available MRI contrast agents (data below).
